Dress Code (Male + Female)

Both: Light fabric + comfortable + open footwear (slippers/sandals). NO closed shoes/boots/heels.

Male: Light half-sleeve shirt + plain trousers/jeans. NO metal buttons/big embroidery/belt with metal buckle.

Female: Light salwar-kameez/kurti/saree. Dupatta OK (transparent preferred). NO heavy jewelry/sequined dupatta/mangalsutra (will be checked).

Banned for both: Sunglasses, cap, hat (religious headgear permitted), branded text T-shirts, embellished clothes.

Why strict? Cheating prevention - heavy items hide micro-cameras/Bluetooth. Centre admin discretion = argue at gate = rejection.

Where to Check Your CUET Exam Shift Timing (Admit Card)

Admit card pe specific shift printed - check carefully:

  1. Open printed admit card (color, A4)
  2. Look for "Shift Timing" field (top section)
  3. Slot 1 = "Morning Shift / 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM"
  4. Slot 2 = "Evening Shift / 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM"
  5. Reporting time clearly mentioned

Multi-Subject Exam Duration:

Subjects Total Duration
1 Subject 60 minutes
2 Subjects 2 hours back-to-back
3 Subjects 3 hr 15 min (15 min break)

Critical: Multi-subject candidates ko 5-15 min break milta hai - washroom + water + stretching me use karo.

Religious Clothing - NTA Approved Special Rules

NTA explicitly permits religious headgear:

  • Hijab / Burka - face visible for biometric
  • Turban / Pagri (Sikh / Rajput men)
  • Ghoonghat - face uncoverable for verification
  • Kara / Kirpan (small, declared at entry)

Process: Reach 2 hours early → inform invigilator at gate → female frisking by female staff → face uncovered for biometric (1 min) → headgear allowed during exam.

Tip: Hijab/burka candidates - female guardian saath laao + carry small dupatta backup.

Footwear Rule (Why Open Footwear?)

Why? Cheating prevention (closed shoes hide micro-cameras/Bluetooth) + faster frisking + comfort 3+ hours.

Allowed: Slippers, chappals, sandals, flip-flops, Crocs (most centres) ❌ NOT allowed: Closed shoes/sneakers (Nike/Adidas), boots, heels/stilettos, hidden-pocket sports shoes

Tip: Buy Rs 100-200 simple slippers specifically for exam day if you only own closed shoes. Don't argue at gate.

Mandatory Documents (Without These - NO Entry)

  1. Printed Admit Card - color, A4, 2 copies (B&W rejection possible)
  2. Original Photo ID - Aadhaar (BEST) / PAN / Passport / Voter ID / DL. Class 12 admit card / college ID NOT accepted
  3. Passport Size Photo - 1 spare, recent, white background
  4. Black/Blue Ballpoint Pen
  5. Transparent Water Bottle (label-free, max 500ml)
  6. PwD Certificate (40%+ disability) - if applicable

STRICTLY Banned Items

❌ Mobile, smartwatch, earphones, Bluetooth, calculator, pen drive, camera ❌ Books, notes, geometry box, paper, eraser, whitener ❌ Wallet, purse, handbag, metallic ornaments, sunglasses, cap, belt with metal buckle ❌ Snacks, chocolates, lunch box (diabetic candidates: sugar tablets + medical cert OK)

Discovery during exam = paper cancelled + 3-year debarment + criminal case possible. Surrender at gate or use centre locker (Rs 50-100).

Water Bottle Rules (Specific)

Transparent plastic, max 500ml, label-free (remove brand label - even Bisleri label flag possible), plain water only

❌ Opaque, steel/metal, sipper with internal compartment, branded text bottles

Pro tip: Buy fresh transparent 500ml, fill at home, strip ALL labels including manufacturer marks.

Mock Test Practice (Last 2 Days - 9-10 May)

Day before exam (10 May): 1 short sectional mock (60 min single subject) morning - light analysis. NO full-length mock (causes fatigue).

Exam morning (11 May, Slot 2): NO mock - light revision + 5-10 quick MCQs warm-up only.

Free sources: NTA Official Mock (cuet.nta.nic.in - most accurate), PW Live, Adda247, Vedantu.

Reality: Mock score doesn't predict actual exam. Focus on rest + admit card prep + travel logistics > intensive practice.

Biometric Verification + Common Gate Issues

NTA mandatory biometric since 2025: live face photo + AI match with application photo + fingerprint (some centres).

Common issues: Glasses tinted (remove), beard grown vs photo (clean shave or admin override), heavy makeup (light only). Same hairstyle + facial appearance as application = smooth.

Common Rejection Reasons:

Issue Result
Forgot admit card Entry DENIED
Photocopy ID Entry DENIED
Late after gate close NO exceptions
Banned item discovered Surrender or denied
Biometric mismatch Manual review delay
