Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering (full-time regular)
• Minimum 40% marks (General/OBC/EWS)
• Pass marks acceptable for SC/ST/PwBD candidates
• Recognized university/institution mandatory

Work Experience (MANDATORY)

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience
• In Operation / Maintenance of power plant
• Power plant installed capacity 40 MW or more
• Experience certificate from employer mandatory

Age Limit

• Upper limit: 35 years
• Relaxation: SC/ST +5Y, OBC-NCL +3Y, PwBD +10Y, Ex-Servicemen as per rules

Note: Fresher BE/B.Tech eligible nahi - 1-year minimum experience power plant me hona must hai.

Salary + Employment Terms

• Fixed Monthly Consolidated: Rs 55,000/month
• No additional DA, HRA, perks (consolidated salary)
• Employment: Fixed Term 3 years (initial)
• Extension: Up to 2 more years based on performance + requirement
• Total: Maximum 5 years Fixed Term engagement

Important: Yeh regular permanent post nahi hai - Fixed Term Employment hai. NTPC me permanent ke liye GATE-based ET (Executive Trainee) recruitment alag hota hai.

Selection Process

NTPC management ki discretion pe multi-stage selection:

1. Application Screening - shortlist on qualification + experience + marks
2. Computer-Based Test (CBT) - 200 questions if conducted
3. Personal Interview (PI) - technical + HR + power sector knowledge
4. Document Verification + Medical - final stage

CBT Exam Pattern (200 Questions, 2 Hours)

CBT optional - NTPC may conduct only if applications high. Otherwise direct shortlisting + interview.

Combination: NTPC may use one or more stages depending on application volume. Final selection on combined merit.
